the 5 campaign phases

Phase 5 | Discipleship

Discipleship

Christ spent days “Evangelizing” His disciples but 3 ½ years training and “Discipling” them. He has commissioned His church to reach out beyond evangelism and make disciples of all people (Matthew 28:19-20).

Discipleship is a lifelong process which involves Reaching (Matthew 28:19-20), Teaching (2 Timothy 3:16-17), Pointing the Way (Acts 11:24) and Leading the Way (1 Peter 3:15). Disciples should be integrated into a church body and instructed to regularly attend worship and Bible study meetings. Outside of the church walls disciples should have a personal prayer time, integrate Christian beliefs into their home and work place, and continue grow in faith. Ultimately the new disciples will themselves become leaders and reach out to evangelize the unchurched and make new disciples.

Most Partnering Churches will have established a discipleship program. The 4C’s 4 Christ Steering Committee is available to consult with Partnering Churches which are searching for a discipleship program.
